Sometimes if you have a lot of good options it becomes really difficult to choose which amongst these are the best. So it was really difficult for me to choose the most amazing Italian lakes. But I believe in thorough research for everything and then only come to any conclusion.

1.Lake Como
The lake has attractive villas and beautiful gardens. You will see some of the stunning Bell Epoque Villas on the water’s edge.
The Lake Como ferry service links many small towns around the lake. If you like golf Lake Como has you covered up with 7 well-known golf courses. The best time to visit is from June to August, it is Spring season here.At the end of spring season a lot of festivals and events are organized so you can enjoy that too.
You can also visit these Italian lakes in September and October. A very few visitors are there during this time too.
The gorgeous town of Bellagio is a lovely place to visit with beautiful gardens. There are beautiful places to go shopping.
Como Cathedral is one of the renowned religious buildings and Villa del Balbianello is marvellous.
With smart hotels aplenty, you have a lot of options to choose from. You must visit Isola San Giulio which is an island, a short boat trip from town.

2.Lake Garda
It is the largest lake and one of the most famous holiday destinations in northern Italy.
Sirmione, a town is one of the most popular places here and it’s home to numerous spas, restaurants ( I Love Italian food), bars, Venetian castles, hotels, shopping stores.
One of the most beautiful towns I have ever seen is Riva del Garda located in the north of Lake Garda.
Castle Of Arco gives mind blowing view of Italian Lake Garda.
You must visit one of the most famous theme park Gardaland. You have multiple modes of transportation there, bus, rail, ferry.

If you wish to do rafting, paragliding, mountain biking, hiking this is apt for you. Are you an Opera fan, if yes you can enjoy it in the open at the Pink Marble Roman Arena.
To explore the historic center you must visit Baroque churches and Rocca. Don’t forget to visit Lido Palace my favorite vacation spot.
When you are traveling in Italy you must visit the secret places in Europe.
Where to Eat In Lake Garda – I had yummy food in Ristorante Bali. The food and customer service both are top-notch.

3. Lake Karersee
In South Tyrol, there is a wonderful alpine lake which is one of the major tourist destinations and that lake is called Lake Karersee.
The lake has green water which gives an amazing view and you could see many divers who like spending time in the lake and make documentaries.
I loved the sunset and sunrise, it is so soothing to the eyes. If you want to take beautiful pictures, come early morning.
The nearest city from the lake is Bolzano, I would suggest you hire a car to take the tour. Food is one of the highlights as they serve delicious Italian cuisine, there are a number of hotels and restaurants. Spruce forest which is close to 15 minutes from the lake is one of the highlights.

4. Lake Orta
It is one of the most captivating of all Italian lakes. It is covered by lush woodland and overlooked by the snow-capped Alps. You can reach this island through ferry.
San Giulio, located at the center of the lake is amazingly beautiful. I absolutely loved its beauty. You will fall in love with its picture-perfect peach houses and cobbled streets. Visit UNESCO heritage Sacro Monte di Orta to appreciate the artworks.
You can stay at Villa Crespi, a Morrish style hotel with a Michelin Restaurant. Travelers find the misty views and flowery settings sublime and really enjoy the quietness here.

5. Lake Lago Di Ledro
One of the cleanest lakes I have ever seen Lake Lago Di Ledro is located in Trentino.
Windsurfing and sailing are popular here. You will see some people do canoeing.
You can rent a boat and cross the lake, a perfect place for hikers too. I did that and had a great time. Pur beach which is very quiet, I liked spending time here. I also liked the botanical garden here.
The other beautiful lakes are Lake Lugano,Lake Bracciano, Lake Maggiore, Lake Trasimeno, Lake Bolsena.
